FAMILY HISTORY
Seeking a ‘better life’ the Vidov family immigrated to AustraliA IN 1974 and headed straight for the shores of Port Lincoln in south australia.
Starting out work in a fish processing factory and on the decks of local tuna boats and prawn trawlers, the Vidovs worked hard to provide for their young family. After much determination and dedication, there was an opportunity in 1980 to skipper a tuna boat and own a share of the newly purpose built vessel. With a foundation in tuna fishing, the families future looked bright.
In 1996, alongside close friends (and business partners), the Vidov family went back to their roots to their hometown in Croatia. Together they set up and initiated the first Tuna Farm Company and operations off of the island of Kali.
The dream of owning a prawn licence in South Australia became an exciting reality for the Vidov family years later when they were able to establish Hanna V Pty Ltd in Port Lincoln in 2004.
With a combined total over 70 years in the fishing industry between father and sons, fishing is most certainly a life-long passion for the Vidov family.
Hanna V is now proudly skippered by the families youngest son Kim, and together with his dedicated crew they ensure responsible fishing practices and take care in product handling to guarantee superior quality and taste for their consumers.
